GARBA
NIGHTS

Nine nights. One garba ground. Gates open at six, the sun sets, the lights come on, the aarti, then garba till midnight. You run the gate, the band, the lights, the food lane, the contests and everything that goes wrong, and you can jump into the circle yourself.

A fun game about running a garba night. All people, bands, sponsors and brands in it are made up. The music is royalty-free from Pixabay: Aavi Garba Ni Raat by KalsStockMedia, Garba Night by Kontraa, and Indian Krishna Music by LNPlusMusic for the aarti. Legal

How to play

The night

Gates open at 6 pm. Switch on the lights at sunset, play the aarti around 7:30, then keep the circles turning until the music must stop at midnight. People arrive, queue, dance around the garbo under the mandvi, eat, rest and go home. Keep the 🔥 vibe high and the money coming in.

💃 Dance: join the circle as yourself and tap 👏 on every taali (clap) as it reaches the ring. Combos lift your whole circle and add to the night score.

Things happen as the night goes on: fights, lost kids, power cuts, rain, a celebrity, the police. Tap the card (or the marker on the ground) and choose. Ignore it and it goes wrong on its own.

⏸ Moments: four times a night the clock stops and you meet the people involved in person: the best-dressed or best khelaiya contest, a war over the inner circle, a proposal, a grandfather's sixtieth Navratri and more. Listen, choose, and your call changes the vibe, the money, your reputation and the night score.

Your controls

🎵 Music: start with the aarti, then keep the two songs going and call the step. Fast steps (dodhiyu, dandiya) bring energy but tire people out; a slow Mataji garba lets them recover. Speed it up! pushes the tempo like a real garba night.

🎟️ Gate: ticket price and lanes. 💡 Lights: the colour of the night is a crowd favourite; more light = more power. 🍲 Food: open stalls in the food lane. 👮 Staff: security, volunteers, cleaners, medics.

Nine nights

Each night has its colour (Orange, White, Red, Royal blue, Yellow, Green, Grey, Purple, Peacock green). Weekends, Ashtami and the Navami finale bring the biggest crowds.

Between nights, read the reviews, then get the ground ready. The camera flies to each place: the Stage (book the band), the Gate (ticket price, with a forecast of who will come), the Decor, You and Upgrades. Check every place, in any order, and the gates unlock. The cash box shows tonight's bills and what is left. Every choice can be changed until you open the gates; an upgrade you just bought undoes for free, older ones sell back for half. Food stalls can be taken down during the night too. Run the best-dressed and best khelaiya contests: the crowd has a favourite, see if you spot it. Your reputation decides tomorrow's crowd. Score points every night; the season total goes on the leaderboard.
