Rocket Roadster guide: perfect launch, x5 rings and a soft landing

By the bumshi team · · 3 min read

Short answer

To score well in Rocket Roadster, hit the ramp between 93 and 99 mph, launch in the green and flip upright fast, then chain rings for a x5 multiplier, barrel roll through dragon fire, pick up blue air canisters and land slowly on the green pad when the clock runs out.

What is Rocket Roadster?

Rocket Roadster is a free 3D flying-car game made after the October 2026 demo in McGregor, Texas, where a prototype sports car drove up a curved ramp upside down, fired cold-gas thrusters and flew off it. You drive the ramp, launch, then fly a 60-second course through rings, fireballs and fire-breathing dragons, and land.

The launch

StepWhat to do
RunwayHold throttle. Aim to hit the ramp between 93 and 99 mph for a perfect entry. Too slow and the fans can't hold you upside down.
RampThe suction fans hold the car on as the ramp curls over. Launch when the marker is in the green at the top.
FlipYou leave the ramp upside down. Roll straight away: a quick flip scores 400, a slower one 200.

A perfect launch is worth 500, so the first ten seconds can give you over a thousand points before a single ring.

Flying on ten thrusters

The car has ten jets: four rear jets push you forward, two fender jets slide you sideways and four corner jets lift you. On a keyboard, W and S thrust, A and D slide, Space lifts, C drops and the arrows turn. On a phone, the left stick is thrust and slide, the right stick is lift and turn.

Let go of lift and the car holds its height. Flight assist also bleeds off sideways drift; switch it to Pro in Settings if you want to manage the momentum yourself (the score is the same).

Rings and chains

Rings score 100, gold rings 300. Every 4 rings in a row raise your multiplier, up to x5. A hit or a missed ring breaks the chain, so a clean line matters more than chasing one far ring. Slide with the fender jets instead of turning hard: it keeps you pointed down the course.

Dragons, fire and the storm

The course has five parts: the test site, the ring run through a wind farm, the mesa canyon with fire vents, the dragon sky and the storm. Fireballs, dragon fire, vents, rock, turbine blades and lightning each cost one of your three hull bars and your chain. Lose all three and the run ends.

  • Watch for the red crossing reticles: that's where a fireball will land.
  • When a dragon roars, it's about to breathe fire. A barrel roll (Q or E, or ROLL) is a quick sideways dodge and scores 150.
  • Near misses score 100, so passing close is worth it if you're sure.

Air

Every jet burns air from a 600 litre tank. Blue canisters add 55 litres and 50 points. Boost burns air fast, so save it for gaps between rings. Out of air, you glide down on the wings.

The landing

At zero the clock stops and a green pad lights up ahead. Kill your speed, line up with slide, and come down slowly. A soft touchdown on the pad is worth up to 1,300, and air and hull left add a bonus on top. Difficulty multiplies the total: Easy x0.8, Normal x1, Hard x1.3.
