About Monza GP

Monza GP is a free open-wheel racing game set at the Temple of Speed. Fight through live knockout qualifying against 19 AI drivers, pick your tyres, then race them wheel to wheel with DRS, ERS boost, tyre wear and pit stops.

Switch between a top-down view, a chase camera and a full 3D cockpit. A live commentator calls the action, the timing tower re-sorts every corner, and AI teams run their qualifying like the real thing: banker laps, fresh softs at the end, traffic in the final sector.

It was made for the Italian Grand Prix weekend at Monza. Every team, driver and sponsor in the game is fictional, and it is not affiliated with Formula 1, the FIA or any team.

How to play

  • Race weekend: qualify in Q1, Q2 and Q3 (the slowest five drop out of each), then race from where you start. Quick race skips straight to the grid; Practice gives you an empty track.
  • In the garage, choose a tyre set and take an out-lap or a flying lap. A lap counts if you start it before the chequered flag.
  • Brake in a straight line before the chicanes, then get on the power early. Monza is all about exit speed onto the long straights.
  • Save ERS (Space) for the straights and use DRS when you are within a second of the car ahead to overtake.
  • Tyres wear out. Softs are fastest but fade; mediums last longer. In the race you must use both compounds, so plan your pit stop.
  • Leaderboard: log in and your best lap driven entirely by you, at real-time speed, goes on the weekly, monthly and all-time Fastest lap boards.

FAQ

Is Monza GP free?

Yes. It runs in your browser with nothing to install, on computers and phones.

Is this an official F1 game?

No. It is an unofficial game set at Monza. All teams, drivers and sponsors are made up, and it is not connected to Formula 1, the FIA, any team or the circuit.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Turn your phone sideways and use the on-screen pedals and steering. A computer with a keyboard or gamepad gives the most control.

How do I get on the leaderboard?

Create a free account (18+) and drive a lap yourself at normal speed. Your best lap is saved automatically. Laps with time warp or AI driving don't count.

How do I challenge a friend?

After a session, press Share. Your link shows your lap time, and when your friend opens it the game tells them the time to beat.
