About Garba Nights
Garba Nights is a free management game about running a Navratri garba ground. Gates open at 6 pm, the sun sets, the lights come on, the aarti is at half past seven and the music has to stop at midnight. In between, you run the ticket gate, the band, the lights, the food lane and the staff while hundreds of dancers in chaniya choli, kediyu and pagdi circle the garbo under the mandvi.
Every visitor is a person with a name, an outfit (mirror work, bandhani, zari borders, oxidised silver, an odhni over the head) and a mood. Zoom in and tap any dancer to meet them. Make it yours: name your ground, pick the decor (marigold mandap, royal peacock, Kutchi mirror work or neon) and dress your own avatar, then jump into the circle and clap on the taali in a rhythm game.
Nothing is scripted. Things happen as the night goes on, a few at a time: a fight in the inner circle, a lost child, a power cut when the lights draw too much, a sudden shower, a TV star at the gate, the police with a noise complaint after ten. Each one is a choice, and ignoring it has a cost.
Play all nine nights of Navratri 2026, each with its colour of the day, from opening night to the Ashtami crowds and the Navami finale. The music is two real Gujarati garba songs with vocals, Aavi Garba Ni Raat (KalsStockMedia) and Garba Night (Kontraa), royalty-free on Pixabay. You call the step, from a slow Mataji garba to a fast dodhiyu, and the dancers step on the real beat.
How to play
- Start with the aarti, then keep the circles turning: call the step in the Music panel or let the auto DJ choose. Fast steps (dodhiyu, dandiya) bring energy but tire people out; a slow Mataji garba lets them recover.
- Push the tempo with "Speed it up!" for a burst of energy from the young crowd, like a real garba night.
- Keep the gate moving. Set the ticket price and open lanes. Long queues make people leave or push at the gate.
- Feed and water them. Open stalls in the food lane: dhokla, dabeli, chai, sabudana for those fasting, and dandiya sticks for the raas.
- Hire staff: security for fights, volunteers for lost kids and queues, cleaners for litter, medics for fainting dancers.
- Dance yourself. Tap 💃 Dance to join the circle and tap 👏 on every taali as it reaches the ring. Combos lift your whole circle and add to the night score.
- Handle the big moments in person. Four times a night the clock stops and the camera walks you up to the people involved: the best-dressed or best khelaiya contest (Garba King and Queen on Navami), a war over the inner circle, a proposal, a grandfather's sixtieth Navratri, a rival organiser with cash. Listen, choose, and watch what it does to the vibe, the money and your score.
- Watch the vibe bar. Lights in the colour of the night, good sound, a clean ground and full circles keep it high. Between nights, read the reviews, book a band and buy upgrades.

Is Garba Nights free?
Yes. It runs in your browser on computers and phones, with nothing to install.
Is the music from real garba songs?
Yes. The game plays two real royalty-free Gujarati garba recordings, Aavi Garba Ni Raat (KalsStockMedia) and Garba Night (Kontraa), cut into seven parts, and Indian Krishna Music (LNPlusMusic) for the aarti, all used under the Pixabay Content License. Aavi Garba Ni Raat is also the menu theme.
How long is a night?
About four and a half minutes at normal speed, from 6 pm to midnight. You can play at 2x or 3x, and the whole season is nine nights.
What are the colours of the nights?
Each night uses the popular colour of the day for Navratri 2026: orange, white, red, royal blue, yellow, green, grey, purple and peacock green. Lights in the colour of the night lift the crowd.
