About Rocket Roadster
Rocket Roadster is a free 3D flying-car game made after the October 2026 demo in McGregor, Texas, where a prototype sports car drove up a tall curved ramp until it was upside down, fired cold-gas thrusters at the top, flew off, flipped and landed. Now you do it.
Floor it down the runway and hit the ramp between 93 and 99 mph. Suction fans hold you on as the ramp curls over your head. At the lip, fire the thrusters, flip upright and the 60-second clock starts. Ten thrusters, 600 litres of compressed air: rear jets push you forward, fender jets slide you sideways, corner jets lift you up.
Then fly the course: the test site and its vehicle line-up, a ring run through a wind farm, a mesa canyon with fire vents, a sky full of fire-breathing dragons and a storm with lightning and fireballs. Chain rings for up to x5, barrel roll through dragon fire, and when the clock hits zero, land soft on the green pad. Everyone flies the same course, so the leaderboard is fair. Chase, cockpit and broadcast views. The car, course and dragons are made up, and the game is not affiliated with any car or rocket company.
How to play
- Launch: hold throttle and hit the ramp at 93 to 99 mph. At the top, launch in the green, then roll to flip upright fast.
- Fly on thrusters: thrust forward and back, slide sideways, lift and drop, turn. Let go of lift and the car holds its height.
- Rings score 100 (gold 300), times your chain: every 4 rings in a row raises it, up to x5.
- Style: near misses (+100), barrel rolls (+150) and skimming the ground add points.
- Dodge fireballs, dragon fire, vents, rock, turbine blades and lightning. Each hit costs one of three hull bars and your chain.
- Air runs every jet. Blue canisters add 55 litres. Out of air, you glide.
- Land: at zero the clock stops and a green pad lights up. Touch down slowly and softly for up to 1,300 more, plus bonuses for air and hull left.

FAQ
Is Rocket Roadster free?
Yes. It runs in your browser on computers and phones (in landscape), with nothing to install.
What is it based on?
News of a flying sports car demo in McGregor, Texas, in October 2026: the car drove up a curved ramp upside down, held on by suction fans, then fired cold-gas thrusters, flew off, flipped and landed. The game uses the same idea, ten thrusters and 600 litres of air, and adds a course with rings and dragons.
Is it an official Tesla or SpaceX game?
No. It is a fan game, not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla or SpaceX, and there are no brand names or logos in it.
How do I get a perfect launch?
Hit the ramp between 93 and 99 mph, launch while the marker is in the green at the top, then flip upright quickly.
How long is a flight?
About a minute: 60 seconds of flight plus the landing.
How do I get on the leaderboard?
Create a free account (18+). Your best flight goes on the Best flight board, and everyone flies the same course.
